Please tell us a bit more about the courses you are currently busy with, if any and also a bit more about where you see yourself in 5 years? I always wanted to be involved, my mom pushed me into travel.  With my daughter and son, I knew a lady, Vicky, at Super sitters and started babysitting for their clients. I then opened my own daycare, but eventually realized I needed to be out of the house so I started Au pairing.
How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I love looking after children and babies, This is my passion, I started doing it when I was very young

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?Reading, being with my kids, speaking to other moms whose children are in the same situation.

What do you like most about childcare and being part of a childs life?Learning from them, I feel that I am a child at heart, the joy of doing things with them, seeing them learn and discover the world around them.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?Playing with toys, baking, teaching, reading, singing etc.
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?Depends on the situation if rushing to the hospital is needed else calling a doctor or the mother if its minor.  107 for real emergencies.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?Child was vomiting and high temp. Put him in a cool bath after taking his temp. Called his doctor to to tell him what was happening, then I called his mom. The doctor told me to Administer a suppository. His mom got home and took him to hospital. The next week had grommets put in.
What is your approach to discipline?I will ask the parents how they would like me to handle this, in the past I have spoken in a stern voice.  No shouting or smacking.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?I would get down on the child’s level, and try to talk to them or remove myself explaining that they can speak to me when they are done.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall? I would tell him why its wrong and then clean it together with the child.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?I would talk sternly talk to the child about the repercussions of not doing any homework.

My parents are still alive.  I have been engaged for 6 years. My daughter goes to school 3 times a week full time and 2 times a week half day. I have a nanny who assists me.
