How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?

It was a natural progression for me do this while in the the USA and UK. 
 
 What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?
 Premature twins at the age of 3 months.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs? I love reading, swimming, walking, yoga, going to the beach, Anything relaxing.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a child's life?

Seeing how they develop and the milestones reached. I love their quirkiness.
 What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?
Going on outings. Reading stories to them. Arts and crafts.
 Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?
 It depends on the emergency. Either the hospital first for medical emergencies or the family for anything else, it also depends onthe family protocol.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?
 I've had to look after an ADHD child while looking after another 4 kids. It was difficult to give them all the equal amount of time. I had to have structure and routine well laid down. I put systems in place with their curriculum and extra murals that had daily and weekly planners.  
What is your approach to discipline?
I don't believe in physical punishment. Talking sternly helps. Remove them from the situation, it depends on the age.
How would you handle:
 
A two year old having a tantrum?  It depends on the age. Make sure kids are safe and secure when throwing tantrums. If in a public space remove them.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall? Explains that walls are not for drawing on and give them paper. Let them help clean the wall.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework? Give a reward system. Explaining the consequences of not doing homework.
Which age groups are you comfortable working with? Newborns to 4 year olds.
