How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I have always had a passion for working with children

Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?Depends on the problem- decide on a hospital, poison center etc. and take the child directly there. Call the parents asap
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?Worked with a ADHD boy who needed extra help with homework etc. I spent a lot of time learning about the reasons for his problem and this helped me to learn how to help him.
What is your approach to discipline?I am not overly strict and i believe in positive reinforcement. The parents style of discipline is also important so as to maintain consistency for the children

A two year old having a tantrum?I would ignore him or her, or distract them with a fun toy
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?I would take away the crayon and give them paper to draw on then clean the wall together
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?I would try and make it fun and creative
