How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I have a really big family, and being one of the oldest I would have the responsibility of looking after them, and just by word of mouth I got involved in babysitting. 
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?The youngest child that I have cared for was newborn.
What activities are you involved in?I do life saving training I attend twice a week, I create and produce my own music and dance classes during the day. 
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?No other spare jobs at the moment.
What are your interests?Music, drama and dance. Physiology and culture.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a child's life?It allows me to become more of a child, I can joke and keep them entertained, I love going down to their level.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?I love being creative with them, painting and drawing, teaching children to swim, going to the beach and building sand castles and messy play.
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?I would call the emergency services and contact the parents, Ideally use my first aid knowledge.
What is your approach to discipline?I am firm but fair, I also use removal of privileges.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?I would tell him that is not acceptable, I would ignore them but still keep an eye on them. Or distract them with something fun. 
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?I would make him clean the wall with me, explain why it is wrong.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?I would make sure that they understand their homework, I can try and make it entertaining for them.
