I have the ambulance and police on speed dial. That is my number one priority. It definitely depends on the severity of the situation but I would notify the parents immediately.

What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?

What is your approach to discipline?

I am a firm person when it comes to discipline. I believe in respect and good manners. I do not believe in hitting children.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?

I would try and calm the child down by sitting them down and putting a good cartoon on. Then I would ask him/her what he or she wants and assess the situation from there.

A 5 year old drawing on a wall?

I would immediately tell the child to stop what he/she is doing. I would take the drawing material away from them. I would explain to the child that it is unacceptable to do such a thing and it is naughty. The parents would be informed of the Child's wrong doing.

An 8 year old refusing to do homework?

I would try add incorporate fun and creative ways of doing the homework so that the child understand his homework and enjoys it. I would homework is essential to every child’s life as it only benefits them.
