How many years of childcare experience do you currently have?Since 2011 (5 years).
How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I worked at a pre-school after I completed matric and I loved working with the kids. I decided that I wanted to study education. I love helping children learn and to see them achieving their goals.

What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?I like to go to the gym, cycling and to study.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a child's life?I love seeing them grow and I have a passion to help them grow and achieve things in life so they can be happy children.

We can build puzzles, picture matching, play with play dough, coloring in, threading beads and making crafts.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?I will talk to the child and calm him/her down and if needed put the child in time-out for two minutes if the parents agree with that.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?I will try to distract the child with something else and I will give the child paper to draw on and explain why it is wrong to draw on a wall. The child also need to help me clean the wall, to learn from his/her mistake.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?I will take a break from the homework and after the break motivate the child to finish it and afterwards we can do something fun.

I am friendly and have an outgoing bubbly personality. I am extremely eager to learn and further develop my skills. I am open to new experiences and challenges and I am able to be flexible. I can speak Afrikaans and English.
