How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I got involved in childcare because I love children and being apart of their lives.
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?The youngest child I have cared for is a newborn.
What activities are you involved in?Activities I am involved in is playing netball, watching TV and reading books.

What do you like most about childcare and being part of a child’s life?What I like most about childcare is making them laugh and being apart of their lives.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?Activities I enjoy doing with children are playing games/activities.
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?In case of an emergency I would asses the situation and then call the child's parents or emergency services.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?The most difficult situation is when one of the parents yelled at their children in front of me and I had to see them cry. I dealt with it by being friendly with the child.
What is your approach to discipline?My approach to discipline depends on the age of the child but would defiantly use time out.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?If a 2 year old was throwing a tantrum I would leave the child till they stop crying because they are wanting attention.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?If a 5 year old was drawing on the wall, I would get a wet cloth and get them to help me clean the wall.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?If an 8 year old was refusing to do their homework I would sit with them and encourage them to do the homework.
Which age groups are you comfortable working with?I am comfortable with working with any age.

Do you have any children of your own? If so, how old are they?Yes, I have 3 children, a boy born in February 2010,  a boy who is 19 years old and a girl who is 23 years old.
