How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I love what i do. I find it very rewarding helping children develop.
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?I have baby sat and taken care of friends children from new born. Otherwise full time from 2 and a half
 
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?I love to bake. Iv been baking to order for on and off 2 years.

Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?I would try and handle the situation to the best of my abilities. Contact the parents or directly take them to a emergency place.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?Saying goodbye to my last family. It killed me because i was such a big part of the childrens lives. I still try see the kids on the odd occasion and send messages, just so they know im still arround
What is your approach to discipline?Every child responds differently to discipline. I try use a firm voice or time out. It all depends on what works for the kid.

A two year old having a tantrum?Time out corner for the kid to call down.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?Use a stern voice and explain why not to do what he did.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?Take some of his privileges away eg:tv, books until he understands he has to do homework before anything else
