How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I have always enjoyed it
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?New Born
What activities are you involved in?I am in the Youth Ministry at a local Church (Youth Leader).
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?Reading, watch TV or movies, I also spend allot time with friends.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a childs life?Love, listening and playing with them.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?Anything really, but I love to teach new skills, and play education games, as well as assist in the development of motor skills.
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?First call their parents and then deal with the situation at hand as best I can and with parents permission.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?The child stole money from my car. It was very hard to inform the parent as you don't know whether they will misinterpret your concern. However they did not and we dealt with the situation quite well.
What is your approach to discipline?It is not my place to reprimand a child who is not my own. I work with the parents and ask them about how they want things to be dealt with..

A two year old having a tantrum?I would ignore it, then afterward find out why they had the tantrum.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?I would explain why it is wrong and then clean it up together.
