Questions

How many years of childcare experience do you currently have?Practical in my honors.
How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?Children are my passion and want to help children to function optimally.

In 2012 I completed my honors in Kinderkinetika. The university found us several schools at which to do our practicals.

I worked at primary schools, preschools and the farm schools in the area. Work out for practically our creative games and played with children for thepurpose of balance, coordination, midlynkruising, laterality, promote motor planning. We have also worked with disabled parents, as well as an autistic school.

What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?I have not previously looked after children, but will feel comfortable with children aged 2 years and older. I have worked through my practical with children from 2 and 3 years and older.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?I enjoy reading, gym, walking, going to the beach, swimming and have a great love for animals!
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a childs life?To make a difference in their lives.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children? There are many activities! I did 300 hours practical which consisted of various activities. I also learn from the activities that I did. I love playing creative games for example playing with colors, numbers, letters etc.! I can take kids to places like Butterfly World! I want to help children with homework and prepare for exams, I enjoy swimming with children and even teaching them to swim (did a Learn to Swim Course), drawing, painting etc with children  anything!
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency? Will try to stay calm, call the emergency numbers given to me by the child's parent's. I would make sure my phone is always charged and has airtime. I would then call the parents.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?

I haven't really had a difficult situation with children before.

What is your approach to discipline?

I am strict and keep to the rules. I will never shout at a child, but prefer to talk nicely and remain calm.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?
I'll keep calm, find out why does the child throw a tantrum, maybe because he's frustrated, looking for attention, aching pain or just getting around, he can not get his feelings, tired or hungry, talk nicely to child and get a child's attention Off with playfulness
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?
Will explain nicely that we can not draw on the walls, but on paper and then we can stick it to the fridge and everyone will see it. Take care of child to make sure he does not draw on the walls or eat the pencils. If a child does not listen and keep drawing on the wall, I will remove the pencils and reach out of reach of the child
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?
To give him a reward, for example, if he wants to sit for 30 minutes and work, we can swing outside 10 times and then work for 30 minutes and then swing again.
Will make sure that children know what to do and understand their homework, and whether I do not understand and he / she should help me.
If they do their homework tell them that you are proud of them, smile and make a knock on the shoulder.
Certainly, where they do their homework counts, watching TV is a huge distraction etc
Which age groups are you comfortable working with?2 years and older
Do you still work for any of your previous clients? Which ones?No
Do you have any children of your own? If so, how old are they?No
Please tell us a bit more about how you would describe yourself?
I am 22 years old, loving, good manners, good values, friendly, good communication skills and I love people.

BreakfastEggs, bacon, toast, cereal
LunchFish fingers, mash potato
Dinnerlasagne
Snackgrapes, nuts, yoghurt
Is there any type of food you feel uncomfortable cooking?I am not a great cook but I am a fast learner
