How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I have always enjoyed looking after children, I started looking after children from teenage years. 
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?The youngest child I have cared for is Newborn.
What activities are you involved in?I enjoy reading and going for walks.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?I am currently working part time as an Au Pair for lifting.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a childs life?I love to see them grow and learn new things, I love to be part of their lives and make a change.
What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing with children?Anything educational, I believe this is extremely important in a child's life as the first 5 years are where they develop their skills.
Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?Use my First Aid to the best of my ability and then contact the emergency numbers given by the parents.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?Thus far I have had no bad situations.
What is your approach to discipline?I would discuss this with the parent.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?I would distract them with a fun toy and calm them down, then find out why they had the tantrum. 
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?I would explain in a nice way why it is wrong to draw on the wall and give them paper to draw on and ask them to assist me to clean the wall. 
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?Try and make it fun for them, homework is never fun to do but I am willing to help them with it.
Which age groups are you comfortable working with?Any age is fine for me.
