How did you get involved in child care and why are you interested au pairing/ babysitting?I got involved in child care through coaching soccer. I am interested in au pairing/babysitting now because I love children.
What is the age of the youngest child you have cared for?The youngest child I have cared for is 6 months.
What activities are you involved in?Activities I am involved in is playing soccer up to 4 times a week, as well as indoor cricket once a week.
What do you do in your spare time? Do you have any hobbies or other jobs?In my spare time I coach children aged between 2 and 8 years old on a Saturday morning for a company called Little Kickers.
What are your interests?My interests are writing, drawing, soccer and children.
What do you like most about childcare and being part of a childs life?What I like most about child care is seeing them grow and develop,

Explain what you would do in case of an emergency?In a case of an emergency I would contact the parents immediately.
What is the most difficult situation you have encountered while caring for a child? How did you handle it?the most difficult situation I have ever encountered was when one of the twins fell at school and cut his leg open. His father was unable to fetch him, so I fetched him from school, and took him to the hospital. We sat there for roughly 4 hours until he received 14 stitches in his knee.
What is your approach to discipline?I believe discipline is completely to the parents consent. And the child should have a structured routine.

How would you handle:

A two year old having a tantrum?If a 2 year old was throwing a tantrum I would ignore the behaviour.
A 5 year old drawing on a wall?If a 5 year old was drawing on a wall, I would tell them to stop and explain why its wrong.
An 8 year old refusing to do homework?If an 8 year old was refusing to do their homework, i would take away a privilege until their homework is complete.
Which age groups are you comfortable working with?I am most comfortable caring for children 7 years and up.

I have 2 half brothers (7, and 29) years old, and a half sister who is 26 years old. My mom is a hairdresser, and my dad is a car sales men. My moms side of the family is very close.
