Our Au pair Placement Process
Sitters4U offers long term placement (longer than 90 days) and short term placement (less than 90 days) services.Placement Process
Step 1: Complete our au pair request form to receive an obligation free quote for a salary range based on your requirements and our service fees.
Step 2: We will check if we have candidates available in your area that are interested in the position you are offering and if we do have candidates matching your requirements, we will send you a quote.
Step 3: If you are happy with the quote, we will forward the invoice for the registration fee. Once this has been paid we will determine the starting date you prefer and recap the terms of employment, as well as the duties you would prefer and require. We would then assign the top candidate living closest to your home that most closely matches your requirements and is interested in the terms you are offering for placement.
Step 4:We will forward you a copy of the contract of employment for review and the candidate will then meet to sign with you. Please note: Our contracts contain a built in probation period, where 1 week’s notice may be provided within the first three months by either the carer or yourself, and thereafter a month’s notice may be given. As we provide ongoing support, this means that if you are not entirely satisfied at any point, we will provide a replacement if you are not happy with the chosen candidate.
*With interview placement we offer a 3 month free replacement guarantee of up to one free replacement per placement should this be required.

How long does the placement process take?
It will take anywhere from a few days to a maximum of a month (or longer if your start date is a longer time frame). Usually though it will take approximately 1 week to 10 days from the date of receipt of proof payment for registration, however we have been known to make placements in less than a day. It's all dependant on your requirements, our staff availability and their interest in the position you are offering.
