Salary Averages for Au pairs and Babysitters

  • Salaries for half day positions generally run from R3000 to R6000, full day from R 6000 to R 9000 per month dependent on hours required, your experience and the number and age of the children.
  • Hourly rates for babysitting range from R45 to R 65 per hour dependent on the age of children, number and area of the client.
