RECOMMENDED FIRST AID COURSES
Looking for a first aid course? Be careful about your course provider. There are many companies offering first aid courses which are not SETA approved, often charging a similar or even higher fee than its registered and approved counterparts.
SETA is the acronym for Sector Education and Training Authority. These are industry bodies convened by the Minister of Labour with the mission to develop and implement a sector specific skills plan, registering and promoting learnerships and applying to SAQA ( South African Qualification Authority) for accreditation as an ETQA (Education and Training Quality Assurance Body) for qualifications in its sector.

National First Aid Academy . They are reasonably priced ( R 400 ( at the time of publication) whereas many other providers charge around R 600 to R 700 for the same course. Please always ask whether the provider of the course you are wanting to do and the course itself is SETA approved. A level 1 first aid course, should include a minimum of 16 hours of training.
